An integrated Approach

Our client's main objective in introducing an integrated employee healthcare solution was to bring commonality to absence management in their multi-sited business. They wanted to develop a more proactive approach to employee sickness and rehabilitation through integration of their range of provision outsourced via a number of partner organisations.

Our client wanted to introduce a consistent 'best practice' approach - to take the focus away from pure medical insurance and look to preventative and rehabilitation techniques to reduce absence and reduce claims costs (and therefore reduce insurance premiums).

Background

Our client looked to PMI Health Group to develop a comprehensive employee health risk management solution. PMI Health Group worked in consultation with the client to identify the key issues affecting the business and potential solutions.

The objective: to minimise the risk and cost of claims on group income protection by medically managing absence cases using the resources of occupational health professionals and rehabilitation services.
